Student Assembly
The Student Assembly is a body of students elected annually to represent undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students and their interests, serving as a student advocate in all areas of higher education, including participation in decision-making within various bodies of higher education institutions. Higher education institutions are obliged to provide space and proper working conditions for the Student Assembly and the Student Ombudsman, co-finance their activities, provide administrative and technical support, ensure the legality of the Student Assembly's operation, ensure that the procedures of student elections are carried out in a lawful and timely manner, and enable all students to equally participate in the elections.
The Student Assembly:
- appoints student representatives to the Faculty Board and other bodies of the higher education institution,
- appoints student representatives to relevant organisations, institutions and companies founded by the higher education institution,
- creates the operation plan of the Student Assembly,
- appoints the Student Ombudsman,
- monitors the student life quality, in particular the quality of study processes, student standard, implementation of student rights and other relevant matters,
- proposes the plan for financing student activities to the relevant bodies of the higher education institution,
- encourages extra-curriculum activities,
- creates and introduces general by-laws of the Student Assembly, unless the Law or the Statute of the Student Assembly state otherwise,
- performs other tasks related to the interests of the students of the higher education institution.
